Catherine Marie (Smith) Reaves

Mrs. Catherine Smith Reaves 63, of Whiteville passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at her residence.

She was born January 24, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI. the daughter of the late Russell Smith and Jeannie DeCicco Smith.  She was a compassionate caregiver for others in her 30 year nursing career where she treated her patients like family.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Smith. 

She is survived by her husband, Garry Reaves; two daughters, Claudette Lee and husband, Rodney of Whiteville, Necole Reaves Babson and husband, Scott of Nakina; two sisters, JeanLynn King and husband Tim, Connie Langer and husband, Bob; five grandchildren, Hayley Ross and husband, Frankie, Hannah Godwin, Meghan Lee, Madelyn Babson, Scotlynn Babson, and a great grandchild, Sawyer Godwin; a special Aunt & Uncle, Dila and Harold Gore.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Peacock Funeral Home.

Her funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 1, 2017 at Gore's Chapel.  Burial will be in Gore's Chapel Church Cemetery.
