Connie P. (Gladys) Singletary Obituary

Connie P. Singletary of Whiteville, died Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born on March 10, 1928 in Iredell County in Virginia, the daughter of the late Myrtle Murdock Plyler and Oscar Plyler.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia A. Hardbeck and her parents.

She is survived by a son, Rev. Robert Allen McNair and wife, Debra of Evergreen; two daughters, Laura Dale Smith of Longs, SC, Cherie M. Hayes and husband, Luther of Whiteville; brother, Oscar Melford Plyler of Charlotte; sister, Bobbie Nye of Whiteville; son-in-law, Jim Hardbeck of Sunset Beach; six grandchildren, Cameron Little of Chadbourn, Bryan R. McNair of Evergreen, Christopher Hardbeck of Atlanta, GA, Kimberly Chafin of Hartsville, SC, Matthew Hayes of Garner, NC, David Hayes of Greenville; nine great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Peacock's Chapel by Rev. Chip Hannah. Burial will be in the Columbus Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at Peacock Funeral Home.
