Dayton Franklin Ward, Jr.

Dayton Franklin Ward, Jr. 59, of Whiteville died Wednesday evening in Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, Whiteville.  He was born in Fairfax County, VA the son of the late Dayton F. Ward, Sr. and Burnease Simmons Ward.  He was preceded in death by a brother,Jerry Keith Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Garrell Ward; sons, Michael Joseph Ward and Victor Wayne Ward; a daughter, Damion Ward Westerhaus; a sister , Letha Ward; a granddaughter, Ava Marie Ward.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his home on 780 Honeyfield Rd., Whiteville, NC 28472

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Lifecare Center,. 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472 or a charity of one's choice.
