Durward V. Thomason

Durward V. Thomason 72, of Sunset Beach, NC died Friday, July 21, 2017.  He was born August 11, 1944 in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Harding V. "Tommy" Thomason and Belmont K. Thomason.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Jones Thomason.

Formerly a custom home builder in Charlotte and the low country of South Carolina, Durward was an avid shooter, hunter and fisherman with a passion for everything outdoors.  A native Charlottean, he resided in the Queen City for the majority of his adult life before relocating to the coast.

A memorial service will be planned by his family.
