Estalene Long Faulk passed away peacefully on October 23,2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville. She was born October 16, 1931 to the late Walter Emerson "Duff" Long and Evie Lula Jones Long. She was married to William Gilbert Faulk for fifty one years and was a life-long resident of Columbus County. Estalene was a charter member of Open Door Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Estalene and her husband Gilbert owned and operated the Corner Grill in Nakina for many years. She also worked as a continuing education instructor through Southeastern Community College conducting fabric painting courses at senior centers throughout the county. She was a loving, caring, gentle woman who was an exemplary Christian, mother, and grandmother.

Estalene was preceded in death by her husband William Gilbert Faulk, parents Walter and Lula Long, two brothers William Jesse Long and James Norman Long, and two sisters Nettie Mae Long Etheridge and Eula Gray Long Register. She is survived by her three children William Gary Faulk (Kathryn), Darla Faulk Fowler (Haywood Fowler), Kelvin Faulk (Doris), seven grandchildren Carla Faulk Meeks (Mark Meeks), Shane Faulk (Heather), Travis Faulk (Heather), Kelly Fowler Lovett (Jonathan Lovett), Ashley Faulk Gore (Scott Gore), Brett Baxley (Gloria), Katie Baxley, fifteen great-grandchildren William Alexzander Meeks, Paige Meeks, Garryn Faulk, Maysalynn Gore, Corbin Lovett, Graylen Faulk, Troy Meeks, Carlie Lovett, Callie Lovett, Kayla Baxley Barbour, Andrew Jones, Samantha Baxley, Lauren Jones, Jeremy Jones, and one great-great grandchild Alexzander Hardie. She is also survived by some special nieces and nephews Betty Long Carrier, William Jesse Long, Jr., Michael Long, Bruhilda Stocks, and Sue Clewis.

Visitation will be held at Peacock Funeral Home in Whiteville, NC Monday, October 24, 2016, from 6-8 pm. The funeral will be held at the chapel at Peacock Funeral home Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at 11 am. Serving as pall bearers are Haywood Fowler, Jonathan Lovett, William Alexzander Meeks, William Jesse Long, Michael Long, and Ray Stanley.
