Eva G Walker

Mrs. Eva G. Walker, 94 of the Beaverdam community, Chadbourn died Monday, April 16, 2018  at her home.  She was born  April 3, 1924 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Roy Godwin and Martine McPherson Godwin.  She was the widow of  V. D. Walker.  

Mrs. Walker was formerly employed with Whiteville Apparel for many years.  She was a member of  the Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda McPherson and husband, Bobby of Chadbourn, a son,  Veronda D. Walker and wife, Terry of Chadbourn,; grandchildren, three Beverly Gregory, Brian McPherson, Victor Walker; six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mortie McPherson of Clarendon, Myrtie Sellers of Whiteville.  

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; four brothers, William Bill Godwin, Alvie Godwin, Harvey Godwin, and Wayland Godwin; a sister Mattie McPherson.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, April at 18, 2018 the Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Donald Conway and Rev. Buddy Seay.  Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 pm Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home.
