Mrs. Evelyn Faulk, 90, of Nakina died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at her home.  She was born September 18, 1926 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Fletcher and Lena Ward.  She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey William Faulk; one sister, Katherine Ward; one brother, Wade Ward.

She was a member of Seven Creeks Baptist Church. She retired from National Spinning in Brunswick, NC.  Hobbies included working in her yard, cooking and quilting at the Bug Hill Senior Center.

Mrs. Faulk is survived by two  sons, Ronnie Faulk and wife, Caletta of Whiteville and Kenneth Faulk and wife, Norita of Nakina;   one sister, Thetus Faulk  and husband, Guy of Nakina; one brother, Donnie Ward and wife, Judy of Old Dock; four grandchildren, Christina Faulk Simmons and husband, Mitch, Bradley Faulk, Nathan Faulk, Adam Faulk and wife, Ashlee; three great grandchildren, Parker Simmons, Luke Simmons and Addison Faulk.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 by Pastor Joe Turner.  Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
