Mrs. Gearlene Hunt Freeman 66, of Buckhead died Thursday, February 16,2017.  She was born in Robeson Country the daughter of the late Paul Jones And Annie Pearl Hunt Jones.  

She was formerly employed with Whiteville Apparel and Liberty Home Healthcare.

She is survived by her husband, Frank C. Freeman; two daughters, Brenda Freeman of Buckhead,  Patricia Diane Martin and husband, Anthony of Hallsboro; six brothers, Leon Jones and wife, Mary of Greensboro, Tony Jones and wife, Peggy of Whiteville, Bobby Jones of Clarkton, Harry Jones and wife, Leslie of Buckhead, Johnny Oxendine and wife, Linda of Lumberton, Ricky Jones of Lumberton; three sisters, Chestina Chavis of Lumberton, Icelene Jones and husband, Gregory of Kinston, Carolyn Ransom and husband, Larry of Clarkton; four grandchildren Jordan Freeman, Hope Freeman, Thomas Martin and Matthew Freeman, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Nylah Freeman and Noah Freeman. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Frank C. Freeman, Jr. and Matthew Freeman.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Don Carter and Rev. Mike Jacobs.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Her family will receive friends 7:00 - 9:00 pm Monday, February 20, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
