Mavis F. Ward

Mrs. Mavis F. Ward, 63, wife of Randy Ward, Gospel On Wheels of the Buckhead Community, Bolton,  died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Lifecare Center.  She was born in Columbus County, the daughter of  Letha Patrick Freeman of Buckhead and the late Roger Mathew Freeman.  

She is survived by her husband, Randy Ward; a daughter,  Frances Ledesma of the home and Miranda Ledesma of Clarkton; a son, Joe Matthew Ledesma and wife, Jessica  of Bolivia; her mother, Letha P. Freeman of Buckhead; three granddaughters, Cienna Ledesma of the home, Carolina Cron and Isabella Cron of Clarkton; three brothers, Adolph Freeman of Leland, Mike Freeman and wife, Wanda of Buckhead, Roger Orville Freeman of Buckhead; two sisters, Marilyn Daniels and husband, Albert of Castle Hayne and Shirley Freeman of Buckhead.

Her funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church in Buckhead by Rev. Mike Jacobs, Rev. Ken Lee and Rev. Jerry Spivey. 

Her family will receive friends 6:30- 8:30 pm Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Peacock Funeral Home.
