Michael Curtis "Herm" Best 54, of Whiteville died Sunday, June 18, 2017 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington. He was born in Dorchester County, SC the son of the late Curtis Wilson Best, Jr. and Irma Faye Ezzell Best. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Stamps.

He is survived by two brothers, Allen G. Best and wife, Patsy of Abbeville, SC, Keven W. Best and wife, Teresa of Chadbourn; two sisters, Susan Lovin of Charleston, SC, Teresa Cartrette and husband, Joe of Whiteville.

His family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
