Michael Rex McPherson,Sr.

Michael Rex McPherson, Sr. 62, of Whiteville died Saturday, March 25, 2017.  He was born June 23, 1954 in Columbus County, the son of the late Homer Lee McPherson and Agnes Duncan McPherson.  

Rex was formerly the finance manager at Transouth in Elizabethtown for sixteen years and business manager with Well's Oldsmobile for eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Burroughs McPherson; a son, Michael Rex McPherson II of Whiteville; grandchildren, Abigail McPherson and Caleb McPherson; a brother, Steve McPherson of Smithfield.

A memorial service will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel.

His family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
