Minnie Simmons

Minnie Ola Simmons, 78, of Bolton died Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Columbus Regional Healthcare.  She was born in Bladen County, the daughter of the late Rozier Faulk and Mamie Smith Faulk.  

Mrs. Simmons was a certified nursing assistant in private and nursing home care.  

She is survived by a daughter, Harriet Gore and husband, Mark of Ash; four sons, Tommy S. Simmons, II and wife, Donna of Hendersonville, Gary Simmons and wife, Rose of Bolton, Darius Simmons and wife, Lisa of Bolton, Robert Simmons and wife, Marjorie of Whiteville; two sisters, Ruth Watson and husband, Bob of Wilmington and Betty Ammons of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Daniel L. Gore and wife, Danielle of Ash, Cecelia Smith and husband, Dustin of Hendersonville, Maggie Simmons of Whiteville; four great grandchildren; her feline companion, Lulu.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lonnie and Tony Faulk; sisters, Helen Lewis and Kathleen Bell.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Bolton United Methodist Church with Rev.Wade McLamb and Rev. Otis Geiger officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Bolton United Methodist Church.
