Robert Lee Freeman

Robert Lee Freeman 74, of Lumberton, died March 25, 2017 in Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  He was born  June 13, 1942 in Columbus County, the son of the late Roy Lee and Rosetta Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Carter Freeman; a son,  Robert Dakota Freeman of Lumberton; a daughter,  Mary Freeman Nixon of Rocky Point, NC; two brothers, Julius Wendell Freeman and wife, Gaynelle of Bolton, Tommy Freeman and wife, Wanda of Bolton; a sister, Janie Freeman Standifer  and husband, Marvin of Bolton; grandchildren, Reese Wilson, Mia Freeman, India Freeman, Melissa Beck, K.J. Nixon  Kaitlin Beck, Destiny Nixon, Bryson Estage; great grandchild, Braiden Croom; and mother-in-law, Carolyn Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Stacey Lee Freeman.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church in Bolton.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

His family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 pm Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
