Robert "Buddy" Rackley, Jr.

Robert "Buddy" Rackley, Jr. of Whiteville, died Friday, April 6, 2018.  He was born December 10, 1947 in Columbus County, the son of the late Alma Kersey Rackley and Robert Franklin Rackley, Sr.  

He is a member and Deacon of Cornerstone Original Freewill Baptist Church.  He was the owner and operator of Rackley Plumbing  for more than 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sanders Rackley, his parents, and brother Roland Rackley.

He is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Hunt and husband, Randy of Whiteville, Melissa Andrews and husband, William of Whiteville; brothers, Ted Rackley and wife, Katie of Hallsboro, Leonard Rackley of Whiteville; sisters, Barbara Smith of Whiteville, Sendy Elaine Rackley of Whiteville;  grandchildren, Randy Hunt, Jr., Brooklyn Hunt, William Andrews, III, Zachary Hunt, Emily Andrews, Madelyn Hunt, and Annah-Grayce Andrews; great grandchildren, Abigail Hunt and Harper Lee Hunt.  His funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Monday, April 9, 2018 at Cornerstone Original Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Donny Jernigan. Burial will be in the Columbus Memorial Park.

His visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home.
