Mr. Samuel W. Batten, Sr. 91, of Salisbury died October 8, 2016.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends 12:30 - 2:00 pm prior to the graveside service at Peacock Funeral Home.

He is survived by sons, Samuel W. Batten, Jr. of Hope Mills, Larry Batten of Fayetteville, GA, Willie Batten of Whiteville; daughters, Shirley Marshall of VA, Sandra Berdeaux of Tuscon, AR, Kathy Soles of Whiteville,; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
