John Haynie Jr. Obituary
Mr. John Burnettt Haynie, Jr. 67, of Lake Waccamaw passed on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 25, 1956 in Pender County, NC the son of the late John Burnett Haynie, Sr. and Doris Bennett Haynie.
Mr. Haynie loved his family, his community and everyone. He would help anyone that he could and wanted no recognition for his help. He was genuine in all aspects of his life. He was formerly a project manager for Duke Power and Salt River Projects in Arizona.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Elaine Fields Haynie; a son, Burnett Haynie; a sister, Margie Myers (Mike) of San Benito, TX and Kay Strawn of Hallsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bonnie Haynie Morin.
His funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scott Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Lake Waccamaw Hillcrest Cemetery.
His family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to his service at Peacock Funeral Home.
