Marilyn Ward Obituary

Marilyn Rose McKee Ward 87, of Whiteville, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April, 6, 2024.

Born March 10, 1937, Marilyn was the daughter of Dennis T. McKee and Clara Ruth “Mama Kee” Benton McKee Bass. Preceding her in death were her parents, stepfather William Joseph Bass, and husband John L. Ward.

She is survived by two daughters, Karla Denise Ward of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kelli Ward Tilley (Tim) of High Point, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel located at 1227 South Madison Street, Whiteville, NC, with interment at Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery 9237 James B. White Hwy. South, Whiteville, NC. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the service. Reverend Susannah Pittman, Reverend Barry Drum, and Reverend Buddy Seay officiating.
