Teresa Britt

Teresa Britt, 70, of Tabor City, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Whiteville, NC.

She was born on June 1, 1953 in Loris SC. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas Ward and Joyce Milligan Ray; a brother, Roy Ward, and her husband, Jackie Phillip Britt.

Teresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a great love for Jesus and her family. She also had a great desire to do for others and share her love of crafting with her family and friends. She was known for her bright smile and kind spirit. She will be missed deeply by all that knew her. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Spivey of Clarendon NC and Toni Stocks (Ward) of Tabor City NC; one sister, Linda Kay Jordan (Charles) of Tabor City NC; one brother, Mitchell Ward (Margaret) of Tabor City NC; Her beloved grandchildren, Landon Stocks (Olivia), Alexis Godwin (Tripp), Victoria Godwin (Codey), Luke Stocks (Sara) and Levi Stocks all of Tabor City NC.

She also had three special nieces and a nephew; Leigh (Chris), Brandy (Robbie, Tate, Carter), Jessica (Neil, Logan, Zachary) and Chris (Tim).

Her funeral service will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:30pm at Iron Hill Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the Myrtle Green Cemetery. Pastor Dale Willoughby will officiate.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Iron Hill Baptist Church.

Flowers are welcome however, donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Care Angel House in Whiteville NC, or Iron Hill Baptist Church in Tabor City NC
