Anna Jernigan Ward

Anna Jernigan Ward 70, of Wilmington died Friday, July 7, 2017 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, Wilmington.  She was born September 2, 1946 in Columbus County, the daughter of Paul Jernigan and Lorona Faulk Jernigan.  

She is survived by her husband, A. Vonne Ward; two sons, Kenneth Soles and wife, Beth of Wilmington, Brandon Ward and wife, Shana of Charlotte; daughter, Chasity Cass of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Haley Soles, Zachary Soles, Morgan Cass, Sophia Ward and Connor Ward;  brother, Charles Jernigan and wife, Dolores of Reidsville, a sister-in-law, Margaret Jernigan; and special nephew, Linwood Jernigan and wife Ann.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Larry Jernigan and Harold Jernigan.

Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Teachey officiating.  Burial will  be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
