Calvin Reaves

Calvin Reaves, 82 of Nakina went to be with his Lord, November 24, 2019 at his home.  He was born July 14, 1937 in Columbus County the son of the late Claude and Mae Belle Faulk Reaves.

Calvin was a retired farmer.  He was a member and former Deacon of Seven Creeks Baptist Church.  He served in the United States Army and Army Reserve.  He was employed with Peacock Funeral Home and J.S. Mann's Department store for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ellen Stevens Reaves; parents; sister, Smithie Long.

He is survived by his daughters, Velvet Hardwick and husband, Daryl of Nakina, Misty Caines and husband, Dexter of Nakina; grandchildren, Katelyn Caines, Meredith Hardwick, Ty Hardwick, Jared Caines; nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Seven Creeks Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Glenn Lane, Rev. Chris Stanley & Rev. Charles Hilburn.

His family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm. Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Reaves Family Cemetery.
