Denise Canady Obituary

Denise C. Canady, 65 of Ash died Monday, October 2, 2018 in Liberty Commons, Whiteville. She was born November 21, 1952 the daughter of the late Winford and Vada Simmons Hewett. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sandra Whaley.

Denise retired from with Brunswick County Schools and also owned and operated a painting company for many years. She was a member of the New Britton Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Ralph Canady and wife, Renee of Chadbourn; a granddaughter, Savanna Wright of Chadbourn; a great grandson, Easton Wright; two sisters, Myra Chestnutt of Pireway and Mary Chavis of Elizabethtown; brother, Mike Hewett of Ash.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, October 5, 2018 at New Britton Baptist Church by Rev.Sterling Sarvis and Rev. Buddy Seay. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 12:30 - 2:00 pm Friday, October 5, 2018 at the church.
