Douglas Wayne Fowler

Douglas Wayne Fowler 67, of Leland died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his home.  He was born September 22, 1950 in Robeson County, the son of the late Dolphus Fowler and Edna Turbeville Fowler.

Mr. Fowler was employed with Harnischferger Mining Company in Milwaukee, WI for 25 years.  He enjoyed fishing and working on his trucks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Virginia (Jenny) Buffkin; niece, Tracie Wilz; nephews, Russell Little, Chad Buffkin, Jimmy Dale Fowler, Hud Barnes, Brandon Sarvis, and Rodney Buffkin.

He is survived by  his wife, Helen Holloway Fowler; daughter, Teresa Griffin and husband, Mike of Wilmington, NC; son, Joseph Fowler and wife, Kristine of Bloomington, IN; brother, Junior Fowler of Whiteville, Donald Fowler and wife, Nancy of Whiteville, David Fowler of Nichols, SC; sisters, Helen Blawat and husband, Ronnie of Townsend, WI, Louise Barnes of Whiteville, Loyce Aydell and husband Larry of Leland, NC, Joyce Sarvis and husband, Phil of Whiteville; grandchildren, Kennedy Fowler and Jefferson Fowler 

His family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Peacock Funeral Home with his funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm in Peacock's Chapel by Rev. Jerry Spivey and Pastor Donald Conway.
