Freddy Larry Freeman, 62, of Buckhead, died Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Duke University Hospital. He was born May 27, 1957 in Columbus County the son of Charles and Haleen Freeman.
He was a logger and the owner/operator of Long Bay Trucking, Inc. since 1979. He served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; niece, Ginger Nicole Freeman.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Harry Freeman and wife, Carla of Buckhead, Charles Darren Freeman and wife, Karen of Buckhead; three sisters, Glenda Freeman-Murphy and husband, Ronald of Buckhead; Jennifer Freeman Richardson and husband, Toma of Hollister, NC, Priscilla Leduc and husband, Ronnie of Fayetteville, NC; nieces and nephews, Jana Freeman, Sarah Freeman, Colin Freeman, Zavian Murphy, Zachary Murphy, Dewayne Jacobs (Jessica), Trey Freeman (Cirra), Ty Freeman, Brennen Richardson, Annalyse Richardson, Hinely Richardson, Ronnie Leduc, Jr., Tianna Leduc, Nicole Leduc; great niece and nephews, Rylee Freeman, Brezlyn Jacobs, Hudson Jacobs, Maverick Freeman.
His funeral service with military honors will be conducted 4:00 pm Saturday, October 12, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Don Carter, Rev. Mike Jacobs and Rev. Howard Jacobs. Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 pm Friday, October 11, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home.
