Grover Spivey

Mr. William O'Neil "Grover" Spivey, 86 of Whiteville died Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at his home.  He was born July 31, 1933 in Columbus County, the son of the late Fred and Lizzie McKee Spivey.  

He is survived by his daughters, Sheila Godwin and husband, Andy of Whiteville, Susan Slater of Whiteville, Sherry Jean Hobbs and husband, Tommy of Carver's Creek; brothers, Buddy Spivey and wife, Sue of Clarendon, James Spivey and wife, Brenda of Chadbourn; sisters, Gail Spivey, Nellie Spivey both of Chadbourn, Phystic Elmani of California, Eula Cheatham of Whiteville; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Creech Spivey; son, William O'Neil "Billy" Spivey; daughter, Delores Rowe; parents.

His graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, November 8, 2019 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Tim Moore.

The family will receive friends 12:30-1:30 pm Friday, November 8, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home.
