Harmon Miley

Mr. Harmon Leroy Miley 61, of Hallsboro died Monday, December 24, 2018 in VA Medical Center, Durham.  He was born November 15, 1957 in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of the late Mancel Leroy Miley and Virginia Elizabeth Schronce Miley.  

Mr. Miley was a veteran having served in the US Marine Corps.  He was employed with Coastal Tire in Whiteville until his illness.  

He is survived by his wife, Karen Hewett Miley a daughter, Cathy Elizabeth Miley of the home, five brothers, Wayne Kennedy and wife, Lynda of Suffolk, VA , Kenneth Miley and wife, Diane of Canton, GA, Jimmy Miley and wife, Tera of Hampton, VA, Ted Lacks of S. Boston, VA, Todd Lacks of Washington, DC; two sisters, Judy Weinberg and husband, Mark of  Banning, CA, Peggy Khoen and husband, Jack of Monticello, IN.; his second mom, Joy Miley of S. Boston, VA.

His funeral service will be 3:00 pm Friday, December 28, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Hunt and Rev. Tim Rausch. The family will receive friends prior to the service 1:00-3:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Columbus Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers monetary gifts may be made to the family for future expenses.
