James “Albert” Freeman, 55, of Bolton died on Thursday, July 26, 2018. He was born on January 17, 1963 in Robeson County, the son of the late Arthur Freeman and Mildred Patrick Freeman.
Albert was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was employed by Freeman Logging and Lumber Company and Universal Transloaders for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Webber Freeman, parents, sister, Shelby Lytle, and birth father, Cleve Oxendine.
He is survived by his sons, Brandon K. Freeman of Bolton, Justin Freeman and wife, Ashley of Nakina, Austin Freeman of Leland, James “Tater” Freeman and wife, Tiffany of Nakina; daughter, Madelyn Freeman of Old Dock; brothers, Robert Patrick, Claudie Jacobs and wife, Lori, Samuel Freeman, all of Bolton; sisters, Gertrude Cummings, Linda Jacobs and husband, Willie, Lucy Oxendine all of Bolton; natural siblings, Larry Oxendine and wife, Rosemary, Paul Oxendine, Katrina Carter, Judy Parson, Melissa Clark and husband, Alton, all of Lumberton; grandchildren, Arianna Freeman, Caymen Freeman, and Grayson Freeman.
His funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Monday, July 30, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Don Carter and Rev. Mike Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm. Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
