Janice Faye (Hunt) Smith

Janice Hunt Smith 60,  of Clarkton, NC, died Thursday, March 7, 2019.  She was born August 2, 1958 in Robeson County, the daughter of the late Levi Hunt, Jr. and Doris O. Jacobs Hunt.  

She was an employee of Smithfield Packing in Tarheel, NC.  for over 25 years and was adored by everyone there.  Janice was the most kind hearted person and would go out of her way to help anyone she met.  She loved the water and being outside in the yard.  She cherished her only grandchild, Meghan and often spent many laughter filled days with her shopping, getting manicures and going to the pool.

She is survived by a daughter, Angela Smith Broach and husband, Michael of Myrtle Beach, SC; a granddaughter, Meghan Godwin; her aunt, Ada Rogers of Buckhead, many cousins and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Carla Renee Smith.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike Jacobs.  Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:00 pm prior to her service at Peacock Funeral Home.
