Juanita F. Jacobs 91, of the Buckhead Community, Bolton died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Whiteville, NC. She was born May 6, 1926 in Bladen County, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Avery Patrick Freeman. She was the widow of the late Ernest S. Jacobs.
She was an Avon Representative for 54 years and formerly owned and operated Waccamaw Community Store for more than 40 years. Ms. Jacobs was also a devoted member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents; an infant son; a son, Phil Jacobs; daughters, Judy Jacobs and Barbara Ann Jacobs; great grandson, Curtis Blake Freeman; brother, Roy Freeman; sisters, Ruby Overton, Lucille Young, Dorothy Jacobs, and Katherine Jenkins.
She is survived by a son, Eugene Jacobs and wife, Debra of Bolton; a daughter, Joyce Jacobs and husband, Monroe of Bolton; grandchildren, Stevie Jacobs and wife, Beverly of Bolton, Tina Jacobs of Bolton, Ronald Jacobs of Garner, Cindy Jacobs and husband, Rev. Howard of Bolton, Stefan Jacobs and wife, Joan of Bolton, Daphne Wells and husband, Tim of Wilmington, Rev. Jason Whitfield and wife, Marlea of Clinton, Beth Jacobs of the home, Phillina Grainger and husband, Travenus of Wilmington, Jay Hall of Lumberton, Tacoma Burnett and husband, Darold of Wilmington; Seventeen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 10, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Don Carter, Rev. Howard Jacobs, Rev. Jason Whitfield, and Rev. Michael Jacobs. Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends 7:00 - 9:00 pm Friday, March 9, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home.
