Kenneth Williams

Mr. William Kenneth Williams 83, of Whiteville died Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 28, 1936 in Columbus County, the son of the late William Pickney Williams and Louise Hewett Williams.

Kenneth was a proud graduate of Williams Township High School class of 1955.  He was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church and loved his Men’s (Last Stop) Sunday School Class.  He was truly dedicated to his children and grandchildren, they were his world.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosalee Tyler Williams; two daughters, Debbie Williams Moore and husband, Mike of Little Switzerland, NC, Tanya Williams Allen and husband, Michael of Advance, NC; grandchildren, JoAnna Rose Inman, Shannon Kelly Allen, Jeremy Lynn Kelly, Kennedy Mayson Larrimore, Williams Chandler Allen; great grandchildren, Haleigh Rose Inman and Eli Zinedine Njihi; a special nephew, David Horne of Apex, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Janice Eulean Gore and Doris Norris High.

His funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church by Rev. Dave Heller.

His family will receive friends one hour prior to his service.

Burial will be in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
