Larry Cumbee Obituary
Henry Larry Cumbee 69, of Crusoe Island died Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville. He was born March 29, 1949 in Columbus County, the son of the late Henry Leon and Islene Etheridge Cumbee.
He and his wife Christine owned and operated Cumbee Tree Service for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Long Cumbee; son, Adam Cumbee and wife, LeAnn of Whiteville; three brothers, Eddie Cumbee and wife, Rose, Phillip Cumbee and wife, Tammy, Jack Cumbee and wife, Lori all of Whiteville; two sisters, Kay Long and husband, Ronnie of Nakina, Debbie Price of Whiteville; granddaughter, Lishie Marie Cumbee; great grandchildren, Lillian Spivey and Carter Spivey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, William Price; paternal grandparents, Jack and Bertie Cumbee; maternal grandparents, Avery and Kate Etheridge.
His graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Columbus Memorial Park by Rev. Sam McLeary and Rev. Leroy Long.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Peacock Funeral Home.
