Louvenia Jean Gore Obituary

Louvenia Jean Cartrette Gore 84, of Whiteville died Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Liberty Commons. She was born in Columbus County July 16, 1935, the daughter of the late Cleveland and Dora Godwin Cartrette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne H. Gore; son, Bobby Hardie; daughter, Patsy Miller; her parents; brothers, Donald Cartrette, Rudie Cartrette, Dewey Lee Cartrette and George Cleon Cartrette.

She is survived by stepdaughters, Kathy Avery and husband, Paul of Whiteville; grandchildren, Cayenne Miller, Courtney Miller, Mark Allen Register, Billy Hardie; brother, Horace Cartrette and wife, Linda of Clarendon; sisters, Emma Jean Simmons Chesapeake, VA, Carolyn Duncan and husband, Devon of Chadbourn, Donna McPherson and husband, Jackie of Clarendon, Penny Witter and husband, Mike of Fayetteville, NC, Katrina Canady and husband, Mitch of Clarendon and Peggy Housand of Clarendon, NC.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, September 9, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Joseph Cartrette.  Burial will be in the Columbus Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Peacock Funeral Home.
