Pastor Norberto Caraballo of Whiteville passed peacefully Saturday, November 9, 2019 at his home. He was born July 11, 1945 in Utuado, Puerto Rico the son of Maria Caraballo of New York City and the late Alberto Caraballo.
He was a hard worker always keeping faith and family in the fore front. He served his Lord as an evangelist for more than ten years. He served as a pastor for thirty years conducting English and Spanish services. A mighty man of God, fisher and fisher of men, who has gone to be with the Lord in the Lord's house that needs no renovations.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Beth Caraballo; three sons, Joshua Caraballo of Lumberton, Kenny Caraballo of Bladenboro, Ty Brown of Bladenboro; six daughters, Laura Silva and husband, Alex of New Jersey, Christine Caraballo of New Jersey, Desiree Caraballo of Charlotte, Candi Caraballo of Whiteville, Christi Caraballo of Whiteville, Katti Kerns and husband, Joshua of Huntersville; his mother, Maria Caraballo of NYC; sisters, Lucy Zapata and husband, Moses of CA, Awilda Alvarado and husband, Jesus of NYC, Millie Rivera and husband, Gilbert of NYC, Ida Diaz and husband, Eddie of NYC; brothers, Louis Caraballo and wife, Evalise of MO, Ralph Caraballo and wife, Mayra of NYC, Johnny Caraballo and wife, Maureen of CA, Jerry Caraballo and wife, Yolanda of Cary, George Caraballo of NYC; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Caraballo.
His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel conducted by a long time family friend, Eric Walters.
His family will receive friends 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Peacock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
