Patricia "Pat" Faye Simmons

Patricia "Pat" Faye Simmons 71, of Crusoe Island passed Tuesday, September 19, 2017.  She was born May 28, 1946 in  Robeson County, the daughter of the late Raymond Herring and Martha Smith Herring.  She was the widow of the late Harlem Simmons.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, April Kelly, grandson, Josh Kelly, and brothers, Milton, Ray, R.C. and Daniel Herring.

She retired after 20 years of service with Sloane Reality at Ocean Isle Beach as the Housekeeping Manager.  She was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth "Buster" Simmons and wife, Karen of Crusoe Island; daughter, Paula Long of  Crusoe Island; grandchildren, Shandi Cook, Hayden Long, Kelton Simmons, Kayla Hinson; great grandchildren, Hailey, Katrina, Andrea, Tessa, Karah; sisters, Louise Little of Bladenboro and Annie Ruth Cook of Concord.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, September 22, 2017 at Peacock's Chapel with Ervin Etheridge officiating.   Burial will be in the Simmons Family Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends  6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
