Ruby Ann (Bass) Ransom

Mrs. Ruby Bass Ransom 75, of Whiteville died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville. She was born in April 11, 1944 in Columbus County, the daughter of the William Gordon Bass, Sr. and Lafayette McCall Bass. 

She is survived by a son, Charles Kevin Ransom and  Amanda Hughes of Whiteville; two daughters, Theresa Smith of Whiteville and Crystal Gayle Long and husband, Brad of Lake Waccamaw; five sisters, Sue Bell and husband Mitchell of Whiteville, Patsy Guyton and husband Earl of Whiteville, Sandra Tatum and husband, Grady of Bladenboro, Marsha Fields and husband, Johnny of Evergreen, Linda Alambis of Bladenboro; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ransom, parents and a brother, William Gordon Bass, Jr., sisters, Betty Little and Bonnie Elliott.

Her memorial service will be at 4:00 pm, Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Brunswick Baptist Church by Rev. Julian Thompson.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at the church.
