Shirley Smallwood

Shirley Kathryn Smallwood 85, of Clarendon went to dwell in the house of the Lord forever on February 23, 2019.  She was born on September 3, 1933 to Floyd and Velma Wells in Knoxville, Iowa. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-six years, William Eugene Smallwood, parents, four sisters and a sister-in-law.  

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Long and husband, Danny;  grandsons, Jake Hughes and fiancé, Nancy, Marcus Hughes and wife, Telia, Daniel Long and wife, Tina, John Long and wife, Natasha;  granddaughter, Robin Duncan and husband, Shane; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  

My mother was a very special loving lady and my best friend. I will miss her terribly, but she is free at last.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. John Porter.  Burial will be in the Twin City Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at Peacock Funeral Home.
