Steve Coleman

Mr. Steve McCoy Coleman 67, of Currie died Saturday, January 11, 2020.  He was born October 3, 1952 in Columbus County the son of Eloise Fowler Coleman and the late Jack Julius Coleman. He was a certified welder for the US Coast Guard. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Currie. He was a member of the Whisky Creek Gang. He was a Boy Scout leader of Troops 760 and 247.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Cates Coleman; sons, Adam M. Coleman and Cindy O’Hara of Riegelwood, Jeremy Hall and wife, Karen of  Portland, OR; daughters, Autumn Coleman Witchen and husband, Jesse of Delco, Beth Dover Payne and husband, Dan of Lynchburg, VA, Heather Coleman of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Adam M. Coleman, Jr., Nathan Coleman, Calie Ward, Georgia Ward, Riley Witchen, Kyle Witchen, Sierra Ellis and husband, Taylor, Andrew Witchen, Cooper Payne, Caroline Payne; brothers, Lavern Coleman and wife, Karen of Bolton, Danny Coleman of Bolton; sisters, Pandora Davis and husband, Renn of Council, Diana Edge and husband, Devone of Delco.

His funeral service will be 12:00 pm Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Garner & Rev. Eddie Watts officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, January 13, 2020 at Peacock’s Chapel.
