Thomas H. Etheridge

Thomas H. "Fuzz"  Etheridge 90, of the Crusoe Community, Whiteville, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.  He was born November 16, 1927 in Columbus County the son of the late Harvey and Lawrence Long Etheridge.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Arnold Etheridge; granddaughter, Brittany Davis; great grandson, Dakota Register; daughter-in-law, Merianne Etheridge; his parents;  brothers, Roscoe Etheridge, Henry Etheridge, Rowe Etheridge; sisters, Ruby Long, Alda Sarvis, Odie Long.

Mr. Etheridge was formerly employed with Sumter Builders as a lineman, Asplundh, and National Spinning.   He was also a self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by three daughters, Judy Price and husband, Randy of Whiteville, Rita Register and husband, Bennie of Chadbourn, Mary Etheridge of Whiteville; a son, Matthew Etheridge of Whiteville, brother, Elmer Etheridge; grandchildren, Wendy Davis, Allen Davis and wife, Sharon, Neal Coleman and wife, Beth, DeLane Register and wife, Holly, Forrest Register and wife, Kayla, Patrick Register and wife, Deanna, Mack Register, James Garner, Morgan Etheridge, Brooke Etheridge; great grandchildren, Clarissa Harrison and husband, Josh, Kim Suggs, Justin Davis, Seth Davis, Stanley Coleman, Alannah Coleman, Chloe Register, Jordan Register, Jacqueline Beck, Abbi Register, Kyndell Register, Wyatt Register, Aidyn Merry, Abbee Merry, Erin Nicole Garner, Kenzington Spivey; great-great grandchild, Brittany Harrison.

His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church by Dr. Scott Cumbee and Rev. Ervin Etheridge. Burial will be in the Etheridge Family Cemetery.

His visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, April 6, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home .
