Tommy Long Obituary
Mr. Tommy Ray Long, 65 of Whiteville died Monday, October 21, 2019 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Lifecare Center, Whiteville. He was born January 15, 1954 in Columbus County, the son of the late John Vernon Long and Dora Ward Long.
He is survived by his wife, Zettie Graham Long; a son, Stevie Long of Tabor City; two daughters, Mary Smith and husband, Brandon of Whiteville, Janie Berry and husband, Henry of Whiteville; four grandchildren, Brianna Berry, Jonathan Berry, Matthew Smith and Morgan Smith; a sister, Stella Evans of Bladenboro; mother-in-law, Ida Lane.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Vernon Long, Jr. and a sister, Betty Todd.
His funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Friday, October 25, 2019 at Peacock's Chapel by Rev. Freddy Edwards. Burial will be in the Gore Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home.
