Vance Len Moore

Mr. Vance Len Moore 60, of the Buckhead community, Bolton died Friday, June 16, 2017 in Duke Hospital. He was born January 3, 1957 in Robeson County.  

Mr. Moore owned and operated Vance Moore Trucking Co., Inc.  He attended Mt. Sinai Holiness Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Simmerlein Moore; a daughter, Jessica Lynn Moore of Columbia, SC; a son, Joshua James Moore of Wilmington; mother and father, James Moore and Arlene Young Moore of Bolton; two brothers, Eric Moore and wife, Michelle  of Bolton, Jerome Moore and wife, Sheila of Bolton; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Chestina Young; his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Floria Moore.

His funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church with Rev. Mike Jacobs and Rev. Howard Jacobs officiating.  Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 pm Monday, June 19, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
