William "Billy" Dew, Jr.

William Avery “Billy” Dew, Jr., 77, of Hallsboro, NC died Saturday, July 6, 2019 at his home.  He was born April 26, 1942 in Columbus County the son of the late William Avery Dew, Sr. and Blanchie Dowless Dew.

Billy was formerly employed at a shipyard in New Port News, VA.  He owned and operated A&D Auto Sales and also worked as an Auto Salesman at Well’s Olds and Quality Ford.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Dew; his parents; brother, Gene Austin Dew; former wives, Linda Faye Arp Dew and Ruby Gail Simmons Dew.

He is survived by his sons, Chris Dew of Lake Waccamaw, Gregory Alan Dew and spouse, David Koslowsky of Coral Springs, FL, Jason Dew and wife, Jessica of Hallsboro, Ricky Graham and wife, Debra of Whiteville; grandchildren, Chandler Merritt, Alexus Dew, Victoria Peyton Dew, Isabella Dew, Chay Eastman, Deanna Register;  brother, David (Bunky) Dew of Whiteville; sisters, Joan Dew Rhodes of Hallsboro, Nancy McCrary and husband, Steve of Ashboro, Carolyn Faye Kennedy and husband, Randall of High Point.

His memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Peacock Funeral Home ChapelWith Rev. Slade Skipper officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home.
