Aaron Guy Williamson, a resident of Harrisburg, NC, known as "Willie" to his family and close friends, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December the 9th at the VA Hospice House in Salisbury, NC at the age of 93.

He was born on October 12, 1930, in Bug Hill Township NC  to the late Thomas Albert Williamson and Priscilla Estella Elderdice Williamson. He was preceded in death by his ever-faithful golden retriever "Toby".

Survivors include his wife, whom he married in Trieste Italy on 22 December 1951, Alice Giorgina Zoacovich; son, Robert A. Williamson (Dreama) of Danville Kentucky; daugther, Patricia Lyons (Everett) of Harrisburg NC; grandchildren, Shayne A. Williamson (Kimberly) of Danville Kentucky, Kelli Lanier (Danny) of Harrisburg NC and Jessica Haynes (Townsend) of Ft Mill South Carolina; great grandchildren, Emma, Grayson and Norah Lanier, William Haynes, Wyatt, Eythan and Cayleb Williamson.

Aaron enlisted in the US Army in 1948 and proudly served for over 23 years before retiring as a Master Sergeant (E-8), in 1971 at Ft Knox, Kentucky. He also served two tours of duty in Vietnam.

In retirement he was active in the real estate business in Radcliff, Kentucky before retiring and moving to Surfside Beach in South Carolina.

Service will be conducted  1:00 pm Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Peacock's Chapel by Rev. Ronnie Wilson. The family will receive friends 11:00-1:00 pm on Thursday prior to the service at Peacock Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Bethesda Independent Church  Cemetery in Nakina, NC.
