Annette B. Powell 72, of Whiteville N.C. passed on July 1, 2026. She was born on July 11,1953 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Robert Blackburn and Geraldine Garrell.


She was a Registered Nurse having received a degree from Sand Hills Community College in Pinehurst, N.C. She owned and operated Rx skincare in Whiteville. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church having served as Sunday school  teacher and choir director, she was an artist and enjoyed painting as well as gardening.


She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick Oliver Powell; daughter, M. Brooke Campbell of Wilmington, N.C.; sons, Eric Sean Powell of Clayton, N.C. ,Patrick O Powell Jr. and wife Jackie of England, Clinton Bradley Campbell and wife Dana of Fairfax, V.A.; brother, John Robert Blackburn, Jr. and wife Brandy of Wilmington, N.C.; sister, Robin B. Holt of Whiteville, N.C.; grandchildren, Caleb Campbell, Cooper Campbell, Wyatt Powell, Jase Powell, Preston Honeycutt.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Blackburn and Geraldine Blackburn.


Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Swain Officiating. Burial will follow in Flynn Cemetery.


Her family will receive friends one hour prior at the Church.


Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church located at 201 S. Thompson St. Whiteville NC 28472
