Becky Ward 58, of Whiteville passed on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her home. She was born December 22, 1964, the daughter of Daphne Bowen Ward of Whiteville and the late Jerry Ward.
She attended Cypress Creek Original Freewill Baptist Church. She was employed as a member of management with Belks for approximately 21 years.
She is survived by her mother, Daphne Ward of Whiteville; sons, Jeffery Singletary (Michelle) of Tabor City and Chris Singletary (Bambi) of Brooklet, GA; a brother, Wayne Ward (Amy) of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Tyler Ryea, Lexi Cartrette, Abby Singletary, Peyton Cartrette, Hunter Singletary, Jaxon Singletary; great grandson, Everett Nobles; nieces, Andrea Ward of Myrtle Beach, Jami Harvey (Joe),of Jacksonville FL, Jaida Poole of Myrtle Beach; close friends, Mildred Surles of Whiteville, Gail Peterson of Whiteville, Leslie Beam of Lake Waccamaw.
Her funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Barton officiating. Burial will be in the Hosea Simmons Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 pm Sunday, June 11, 2023 prior to her service at Peacock Funeral Home.
