Mr. Bennie Sellers 73, of Whiteville passed on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Center, Whiteville. He was born October 30, 1947 in Columbus County, the son of the late Robert and Emma Ruth Sellers.
Bennie formerly farmed and was well known for growing peanuts. He also formerly owned and operated Waccawaw Auto Parts in Lake Wacccamaw for 18 years and formerly owned One Stop Service Center in Brunswick. More recently he owned and operated Sellers Auto Sales.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christine Thompson Sellers; brothers, Norman Sellers, Sr. of Whiteville, Jerry Sellers and wife, Marie of Whiteville, sisters, Veda Merle Bridgers and husband, David of Brunswick, Naomi Sperling and husband, William of Lincolnton; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edgar Sellers and sister-in-law, Margie Sellers.
His funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Donald Conway and Rev. Roger Coffey. Burial will be in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 pm Tuesday prior to his service.
