Berteneta, or “Miss B” as she was affectionately known, was a devoted
member of New Hope Baptist Church. She dedicated much of her life
singing in churches with her Father and family. She served faithfully
wherever she was needed. She was known for her kindness, her
willingness to help others, and her unwavering love for family and
community.
She loved her family deeply, but nothing was above the two sons she
cherished – until her grandchildren came along. She lovingly called them
her answered prayers.
Berteneta was a true hero to many, facing the challenges of her health
with grace and steadfast faith. She never wavered in her trust in God’s
unchanging hand. Her strong faith and radiant testimony touched every-
one she met, leaving behind a shining example of what it means to be a
true disciple of Christ.
Her light, love, and laughter will forever remain in hearts of all who
knew her.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Zach Jacobs, Elder Michael Jacobs and Rev. Don Carter officiating.
