Betsy McKee Obituary
Betsy Long McKee, 88, of Whiteville, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026. She was born on October 17, 1937 in Columbus County to the late Jessie Elbert Long and Ada Bennett Long.
She is survived by her nephews, Jere Baldwin (Jamie), Chuck Baldwin (Susan); niece, Allyson Scalf (Mark).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Silvan McKee; her parents; brother, Elbert Long; sister, Margaret Day Baldwin.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 23, 2026 at 2:00pm at Peacock Funeral Home's Chapel with the Rev. Gary Clore officiating. Burial will follow in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
