Betty Watts Obituary

Mrs. Betty Warner Watts, 87 died Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Laurels of Pender, Burgaw, NC. She was born May 5. 1933 in Guilford County, the daughter of the late John Spencer Warner and Helen Leona Van Dyke Warner.

She is survived by her son, Spencer Watts and wife, Christine of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Wesley High and wife, Rachel of Burgaw, Emily Watts Nester and husband, Freeman of Roanoke, VA, and Andrew Spencer Watts of Roanoke, VA; great grandchildren, Adalynn and Raedyn High, and Annie Nester; a sister, Helen Shackelford and husband, Thomas, and nephew, Thomas Shackelford, Jr. of Bremen, GA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Watts, her daughter, Sharon Watts Gore and her parents.

Out of respect for family and friends, due to the unique circumstances of travel restrictions and health concerns a private service will be held at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
