Billie (Benton) Smith

Mrs. Billie Benton Smith 66, of Whiteville passed on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at her home.  She was born in Columbus County the daughter of Clarence Martin Benton of Whiteville and the late Yvonne Fowler Benton. 

She retired from BB&T as a Stock and Trust officer.  She was a member of Western Prong Baptist Church. She served her Lord by singing in the church choir since a teenager.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Smith; a daughter, Lindsay Morgan Smith of Whiteville; a son, Clarence Matthew Smith and wife, Cory of Whiteville; her father, Clarence Martin Benton of Whiteville; two sisters, Bobbie Clemmons and husband, Michael of Whiteville, Gennie Parnell and husband, Mike of
Whiteville; a brother, Perry Benton and wife, Lisa of Bladenboro; two grandchildren, Arlo Jayne Smith and Vonn Grey Smith.

A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Western Prong Baptist Church by Rev. Ronnie Wilson. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 pm prior to the service at the church.
