Billy Wayne Todd

Mr. Billy Wayne Todd, 74, of Whiteville, NC passed on July 24, 2022 in Columbus Regional Hospital, in the loving arms of his family. He was born in Columbus County the son of late Mack Duffie Todd and Louise Hooks Todd.

A devoted father, husband, brother, and good neighbor, he was always willing to share his time and talents with those around him. His passion was to support his community. He was an organizer for the White Marsh Welches Creek Fire Department. He was a humble servant of the Lord through Peace United Methodist Church, which was close to his heart, serving as Treasurer and Chairman of the Administrative Council.

Mr. Todd had a lifelong career in construction and loved working with his hands. He was a co-owner of Todd's Custom Fabrication and was known by his friends as "Mr. Fix-It". A 1967 graduate of Hallsboro High School, he served his country with two tours in Vietnam as a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and was awarded multiple medals including a Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Baldwin Todd; two daughters, Elizabeth Grace Todd of Wilmington, Kathryn Todd Reese and husband Phillip Patrick Reese of Winston Salem; two brothers, Morris Todd and wife, Cheryl, Ronnie Todd and wife, Maria; six sisters, Helen McLamb, Maxine McLamb, Nellie Imm, Linda Miller and husband, Johnny, Doris Jefferys and husband, Keith, Wanda Williamson and husband, Freddie.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, M.D. Todd, Brenda Ann Todd, Bobby Lee Todd, George Todd, and Johnny Todd.

Visitation will be Friday July 29, 2022 10:00 AM at Peacock Funeral Home in Whiteville, NC. The memorial service will be held afterwards at 11:00 AM in the Peacock Chapel. Pastor Jerry Dalton will officiate. The service will be followed by a burial at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
