Bonnie (Lee) Sweet

Bonnie Lee Sweet 69, of Whiteville went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 19, 2019 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill.  She was born October 15, 1950 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Freddie G. Lee & Rosa Lee Tyson Lee. 

Bonnie received a Cosmetology Degree from Southeastern Community College and owned and operated Hair 42 salon for over thirty years.  She was a Real Estate Agent for ReMax and Costal Properties. She loved to fish and was also an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to her many plants.  She enjoyed playing baseball, bowling and shagging.

She is survived by her husband, Lindsay Moore of Whiteville, NC; sisters, Doris Watts and husband, Royce of Whiteville, Virgie Stubbs and husband, Paul of Hallsboro; brothers, Graham Lee and wife, Belinda of Whiteville, NC, Raymond Lee of Whiteville, Lonnie Lee and wife, Pam of Whiteville; nieces and nephews, Paula Edge, Stephanie Stubbs, Robbie Hilbourn, Tony Stubbs, Christopher Lee, and Corey Lee; great nieces and nephews, Kelly Edge, Mike Stubbs, Daniel Hilbourn, Jessica Stubbs, Scarlett Rose Hilbourn, Cody Stubbs, Josh Dicks, and Tori Stubbs; great-great niece, Tristyn Edge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Sweet III and parents.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Old Dock Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Sides officiating.

Interment will be at Old Dock Cemetery in Old Dock, NC immediately following the service.
